Ozarks sound laws

On a weekend during the day, you will not get stopped. The Water Patrol is too busy. If you are out at night and leaving one of the hotspots, the water patrol will stop you. Also, during the week when its slow, they will stop you. As for getting a ticket, it will depend on how loud you are and their discretion.
I was stopped for noise the first time I took my Pantera too LOTO. I was 3db over and got a written warning.

It also depends on if someone complains, I have 496 hos with mufflers and last summer someone complained about a yellow boat and I was the only yellow boat the water patrol saw so I got pulled over and tested. I had to laugh, but I only rung the meter at 89db so I was sent on my way.......

I agree with the bear. Over the years they seem to increase enforcement when they have more complaints.
Down side is that once they get you, they remember you, and you tend to be a target more and more.

Take them off and if you are close to a wp just turn one engine off. Just remember that you could be pulled over at anytime, so make sure everything is in order on your rig (life jackets, fire ext., etc..).
Regards
