Default Florida Home Rentals

We are playing in a roller hockey tournament in Estero Fla. at the end of July. It's close to Ft. Meyers.
We are looking at renting a house for 1 week and the people want a $500 deposit now and paid in full by July 1st. Does this sound normal? I have never paid for a room or a rental before I stayed there. We have given deposits and then paid in full when we arrived.
What do you think?

Does anyone have a house preferably with a pool that they would like to rent for a week?

Thanks

Sounds normal, who are you renting from? I've rented several homes, they always want $ to hold and paid in full upfront.

I don't know mind paying you goof ball I just thought it was odd.
Any place we ever rented in Michigan was a deposit then pay in full upon arrival. If thats how they do it in Fl. then so be it.

Thanks for the replys.
