down turn mufflers??

down turn mufflers??
The mufflers that clamp on and exhaust under water? Any problems with these any risks-want to quiet boat down at dock and not real crazy about mufflers, any help. I have a single 525Efi with thru hulls now 4". thanks

So you have CMI Headers on the boat right?
We have several guys in my area including me running the CMI turndowns with no issue. Silent around the docks and wide open when on plane.
Let me know if we can help. We would need the distance you would want from the center of your exhaust to about 4" into the water and a picture of your transom.
