Just a reminder to the support boats for Hollywood race, the dry pits will be in the parking lot of Bass Pro Shop/Islamorada Fish Co.........
My "loyal" regulars will only need to pick up flags.
Turn boats - call me and I can arrange the scorers to bring your flag.
New volunteers........email me or come to the pits to do paperwork and get your flag.......friday or saturday.
Medical boats........call Tom or myself to establish diver pick-up location.
Drivers meeting 9:00 a.m. sat........MORNING.....you are welcome to attend.
Go to the website www.superboat.com to get a schedule and any other information.
See you this weekend..........pd

These people are the guys on the race course that don't get enough recognition.
Some of them assist with races for us from Deerfield Beach to Key West. Those are my "regulars".
Whether pace/turn/patrol or medical boat, they are as into the race as the racers are.
They transport our divers to any incident on the course that needs attention, and pull race boats off the course out of harms way. They are the eyes and ears of race control and it would be difficult to do a race without them.
I encourage them to come to the drivers meeting so they know the course, and the latest water conditions and lap counts etc.
Please take a minute to speak to these guys if you see any "interested spectators" at the drivers meeting or signing up with me at the pits. They are out there for YOU. They would love it. Thanks....pd

A huge thanks to all the turn/patrol/medical/pace boat volunteers and especially Big Tuna who gave so much support and the greatest party. That was fantastic.
The dry pits at the Bass Pro Shop and their accomodations for meetings and awards were outstanding.
Last but not least, the water-ski show in the parking lot had to be the highlight of the pit area. Can't top that.
