I am looking for a video on all the steps of how to paint a boat. I need something that tells you what kind of sprayer to use and how to prep the boat as well as how many coats of paint and clear.

If you need all that information you might want to try having a pro paint your boat before you regret what you've done.

It would be nice to have a pro paint it but due to Hurr. Katrina the funding is just not available......

Anybody wanna do it for me as a favor?

Has that video been updated? It says it was released in 1969!!
I am not sure if there is a DVD but, you can get a lot of info from this site. One thing I would recommend is find some one you can use as a coach and listen to them, way too many choices and recommendations out there I think you would get overwhelmed. Are you planning for a basic paint job or something cutting edge?

I am basically going for a two-tone scheme. I am doing the whole boat white with royal blue tribal art designs down the side. Nothing super fancy. My buddy is a professional artist and he is going to draw up the designs for the hull. If worse comes to worse I will just go all white....

You can do it yourself... as a hobby it's actually quite mind numbing (helping you to forget the grind of your day job, and possibly give you a new appreciation of it ).

I would be glad to help. I have painted a few boats over the years. If you have some experience with a spray gun it would be easy to walk you through all the steps from prep to clearcoat and polishing.
