Default Powder coat prices?

Is $25 a piece to powder coat drive trim cylinders housings high? I am just looking for standard black, nothing fancy. I am just wondering if the local guy is whacking me on the price.

I don't think color makes a difference in the price of the powder coating. $25 bucks doesn't seem to high to me, but I haven't had PC done in quite awhile.

There was a guy in St Pete that did small parts for exactly that price a few years ago, provided they were either black, or white. I guess he kept guns full with those two colors, and he'd have to clean out a gun to use another color. Not out of line at all for that price.

the more you have the less it cost ... I had 2 complete motor setups done ...pullies,brackets, motor mounts, some deck plate, ect ..It was like 45 pieces and was 250.00 ...

on the cylinders if they have signs of corrosion be aware that it will prob show thru ... I had some drive housings done and while they looked good you could still see the pitting ...And if there is corrosion there is a process where they heat the metal before coating to prevent "gassing" (bubbles) .....m
