Alternator - where to buy???
#1
Chasing my tail with the rebuild guy on my alternator trying to get the rectifiers for my Prestolite alternator. I'm about ready to give up and just buy a new one. Checked locally and nothing. Where's a good place to buy? I want at least a 90 amp.

Charles Auto Electric usually has all this in stock- most times can ship you a rebuilt and take your core. They've bailed me out many times and I've never had a problem with anything they've done for me- dating back to the mid-70's

How do I know which alternator I have, besides taking it off and looking at it? My parts pics show 3 diff alts for my serial numbers.

I just ordered the 100 amp one wire from them. Except it's $5 cheaper on their "other" site! LOL
