Hey,
I've been reading this forum for a couple of years. The consensus among owners seems to be that the 24's are cramped. And the 28's aren't big enough to justify twins now that so much power can be had from (dependable) singles.
So, the ultimate Pantera is a 28 single right? (The BIG boat is NOT included, I can't even DREAM that big.)

I'd agree with Dave. The 24 isn't a family boat, but to go out and tear it up with two of your buddies, its hard to beat these little 24'x7' boats!
I haven't been in a 28 with twins, but I'm very fond of my 28 with a single. Obviously though, I wish it had a bit more power. I've also heard that the 28s with outboards cook.

7' wide! Awesome. Are they all sit downs? There's a pretty sweet one for sale right now too.
What's the top end on a boat set up like this with the 496? I'm just guessing around 75-77??? Anybody?

most 24s are standups, or older buckets.
They are a handfull over in the 70s, and they are a drivers boat, but thats what makes them fun.
24 a family boat, sure it can be... how many kids you got and where you boating and what kind of boating do you do?
28single the best? I personlly think 2 sbc's (or ilmors) w/ 550hp XRs would be fast, well balanced, and reliable.
See how scott is going w/ his saber?

I second stormrider. The perfect 28 Pantera would be with twin small blocks - good luck finding one
Since all boats are for sale - if anybody is listening - I'll give you $50K right now for a newer used 28 pantera with small blocks.
