Is anybody going to go? I might try to bring my boat down there, where is a good place to watch from? Is there anywhere your not allowed to park?

Can't get into Monroe Harbor after 7 pm...and even then you've got to know somebody to raft off of...I think the wall is full up.
My plan is usually this: Stay to the OUTSIDE of the bunch...too many drunken idiots out there to even chance getting NEAR them. You can see the fireworks really well from a good distance away, so don't sweat that. Don't even throw a hook if you can avoid it...anchor lines getting crossed or run over will quickly ruin your night. Anyway...when the grand finale hits, fire that baby up and start idling away...when it ends, nail it and get back to your trailer before the bunch...that's when having a fast boat pays off!

Anyplace is gonna suck. We were going to go out of East Chicago, but they close the launch ramp at 5!!!! They've got their own festivities, I guess. Isn't it ridiculous how boater-unfriendly this city can be?
