I have a 350 mpi. It cranks but does not turn over. There is gas in the MPI rails and good spark, but only goes to start when gas is poured in the top of the plenum (throttle housing). Any ideas?
Thanks

your injectors arent pulsing in time with the timing of the engine----strange you have spark though as in some or most automotive applications the spark and injection are run by the same sensor----usually a crank sensor or cam sensor is the culprit when these systems fail----also check the fuse box if applicable to see if an injection fuse may have blown---if you replace it and it blows again something is overloading that system voltage wise and you should have it checked. good luck with it.

I am having the same problem. After running the boat friday the port motor stalled and wont restart. It will run on starting fluid. I swapped the computer with my other motor and still no luck. Where are the sensors located that you think might be bad ?

We are trying the MAP sensor today. It is in front of the throttle body screwed to the manifold. It have a plug connector. I will let you know if that is it. Let me know if you find anything on yours. THanks

Your right - it wasn't the MAP sensor. We replaced all plugs and wires and it started up. Tomorrow I am going to check fuel pressure and clean all injectors. I will keep you updated. Thanks
