Most likely it's not a steal. It's been for sale for quite a while and the price keeps working its way down. I don't know specifics on this particular one but in asking around, I was told to be very wary of soaked balsa on these particular boats. It seems it gets in from water laying inside in the sponsons. Not hard to check.

price dosent sound to bad but keep in mind just about all those older 46's are X race boats and some may not have had the charmed life to say the least.

Looks like Alcone Motorsports saw them race the worlds in 1995 on my old red 10meter fountain,Me and a 23yr old piece of Ass...Those were the days

I don't think its the alone boat, The Alcone boat of that vintage had a cut down deck if I remember correctly. Tom
