Anyone that has been a member of OSO for a year or more remembers the raffle on the cigarette to help Todd sell his boat so he could enter the fight of his life to beat Leukemia. He had a bone marrow transplant about 11 months ago and as many of you saw this past weekend he posted that after a very hard year things were looking up. Within 24 hours of that post, fate dealt him a low blow, the new marrow is not performing up to par. Todd needs another BIG DOSE of the power of prayer from OSO to help get him through this.

MONDAY, JULY 16, 2007 03:33 PM, CDT
Hi, well we heard back from Gina at Dr. Manion's office regarding the blood results, his platelets are now at 4. . . they have decided not to give him another transfusion today. Right now they are thinking that his bone marrow has just decided to stop making the platelets.They have started a medicine called Gamma Globulin - which in Melissa & Todd terms translate into "jump starting" his bone marrow so that it begins to make platelets again. We are praying and hoping that this medicine does the trick. Right now he is scheduled to get this medicine for the next three days. Dr. Mannion will be talking with Dr. Flowers from Seattle Long Term Follow Up today and they will discuss what they think. Hopefully we will learn a lot more tomorrow morning. Thanks again for all of your prayers, love and support. Please pray that Todd's bone marrow starts producing platelets again. Love and thanks!!

Thanks Donna and everyone else we really appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. As the chaplin that was just in this morning said a hospital is a place to find patience it has been a long couple of days hanging out here waiting for them to figure out what is going on but hopefully we will learn why the new marrow has stopped making the platelets soon.
