Hello All-

I am looking for the best anchor for a 30' Cat. I have a couple big anchors that I use on my 382 formula but they seem way over kill. What is everyone else using?

Try an 18' Bayliner.

Small size box anchor should work great. Its also called a slide anchor.

Box Anchor is the way to go, will set in any bottom condition. I have a 26' cat, and I use the small one. I think they have 3 sizes.

Slide anchor. I ordered the middle one and its too big for my boat.......but holds mine and eight others with ease. Just a little bulky, and heavy. I should have gotten a small one, but I plan on bigger boats in the future.

Yeah I have the large box anchor for my 382 formula. I think that thing would hold a small ship. It is a little heavy for this boat.

Let me know if you want to sell the box anchor...

I will be selling it once I sell the 382, but for now I need it for that boat. You wouldn't want to buy both of them would you? I might even go as far as giving you the box anchor if you buy the 382 fastech!

I have the small box anchor. It has yet to fail me. There has been may time when I have been is 80+ ft of water with only 125' of rope and anchor holds. ***** is pulling this anchor up 80+ ft from the bottom.

Buy a Fortress Anchor. Very Light Aluminum alloy. They dont weigh anything. They are costly. You can get them at Boaters World or any good marine store. The best part..they hold in anything.
