Default We lost two good ones this weekend

We suffered two great losses this weekend.

Long time volunteer for NJ Offshore Jim Dulney passed away after a short illness. Jim and his wife Patty had worked with NJ Offshore for many years producing the races in Point Pleasant Beach NJ. Patty served on the Board of Directors until 2003. By trade Jim was a surveyor but he loved boats and could usually be found helping launch and retrieve the raceboats at the crane area. Jim will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

His dream was to race and at least he got to run his boat a few times before it was time for him to leave us. Scott Rogers passed away suddenly this weekend leaving a wife a three children behind. Scott's presence at the races and his enthusiasm for the sport will be a great loss to everyone that knew him. Scott was the throttleman for Jersey Pirates Racing team and his loss will affect many.

God rest their souls.

Visiting hours for Scott will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with a funeral service at 8:30 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Route 88, Brick. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Rogers' name can be made to Make a Wish Foundation, P.O. Box 29119, Phoenix, AZ 85038-9119.

Visitation for Jim will be at Silverton Funeral Home, 2482 Church road Toms River, NJ on Monday July 23rd from 5pm to 8pm and Tuesday, July 24th 10:00am to 12noon. At noon there will be prayers and song to celebrate Jim's life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the James Dulney Scholarship Fund of the NJSPLA Scholarship Foundation, PO Box 101, Cream Ridge, NJ 08514-0101 and the Jersey Shore Animal Shelter, 185 Brick Blvd, Brick, NJ 08723

May they rest in peace.

Scotty, I will miss our morning talks, and Coffee. There are a lot of great people with your family, helping them through this difficult time. God Loves and forgives us all. See you again one day, on the other side. Smitty
