i just got done break in and i am going to use mobil one oil in my engines, my question is can i use mobil one extended 15w50 with the gold cap? I noticed in a forum that someone said not to used the gold cap, anyone know why or does anyone else use the extended performance

My personal choice is Pennzoil 25W50 Racing . non synthetic

I have always had good luck with Valvoline VR1 20-50 Racing.

i believe ( based on running race engines for 24 hrs straight at daytona and a million other brutal stress tests) that your choice of oil is correct. i have never seen a lubricant that is as good as the mobile 1 pure synthetics. i use the 5 50 delvac in my 502 s and would not consider anything else.

there is a huge thread on oil in general, and mobil oils in the lubrication thread........... The consensus was that the new silver cap 15w-50 is better than the gold cap extended performance. I am currently running the silver cap in my 502 mpi with the mobil filter.
