Default Faria tach/hour meter.

I have two Faria tachs with the built in hour meters in my American Offshore. There is a dial on the back that is 1 through 6. I have looked through all the Faria PDF files and I can't figure out what the correct setting would be for a V8. Anyone have any ideas? The pdf files say there should be a sticker on the gauge but mine do not have a sticker. Thanks.

Does yours have a 1-6 setting?

The faria site is the one that says there is a sticker on the side of the tach.

Mine is 1-6 settings. It is for four cycle engines only. Setting 1 is for 4 cylinder, setting 2 is for 6 cylinder, setting 3 is for 8 cylinder and settings 4,5,6 are not labeled.

Awesome, thats what I needed to know. No wonder my slip numbers are so out of wack. mine are set to 2 instead of 3. My RPMs are 3/4 of what the tach actually reads.
