Buy the cheapest straight axle you can find that has the same spindle as yours. Cut the middle out and mount each side to each side of your trailer. Get new spindles and mount bearings, spindles, AND the spare tires to them. Now you have the entire hub assembly should you have problems on the road.

No, I didn't do it but I'll get some pics....When I had my trailer built I asked for 2 hub mount spare tire assemblies. That's what they did and it worked great. The only problem is the wheels spin if you try to step on them to get on the bow.

That is a great idea. Even if you bought a torsion axle, and "cut the middle out;" you would destroy the torsion suspension of the axle, but you would have two spare removable spindles as well.

Myco told me they dont make a spare tire mount that would hold the spare hub also.It a good idear.

I bet you could order a spindle from dexter, etc and bolt it on the mount, most spindle ive seen have a square flange that welded to the axel.

I bought spindles from a local trailer distributor. Under 20.00 each, weld them on the trailer and you're set.
