I had an oil line leaking, a place made a new one that was smaller inside never thought to check and I ruined my engine. 454 .030 Gen V. Here is the problem, I have a stroker kit for the engine which would make it a 489, but my block has to ground for clearance PIA. My motor was a 420 clone. My crank(cast) was turned down 10 and is ok it is a balanced assembly.
should I build the bottom back the same and just add a little bigger cam with changed firing order and 2.25 valves or how much would I gain by installing the stroker, a little bigger cam with the firing order changed and change my intake valves up to 2.25 from 2.19, then sell my balanced assembly. I just wonder what I would gain and would it be really worth it?
