mirage 217 non mag 454 1.5 drive ratio.Max speed is 59 at 5000.with a mirage plus 23p.typical blow out garbage with the plus.ran a 22p b1 and same speed and rpm but way better handling,merc prop selector recommends a 25p rev 4.rpm should lower down around 4400 or 4600?as usual I want top speed.Ideas welcome!REV4 OR B1??

I think the Rev will be faster in that application. However a 23 Rev will pull 300 RPM less than a 23 Mirage +, actually with that engine my guess is you would run faster at 4200 RPM with the 25. Might be sluggish out of the hole.

On my boat the Rev4 worked much better than the Bravo. More bow lift and much looser but still handled well. The rpm difference between the Mirage and Rev4 was only 100-150 rpm. The Bravo lugged my RPM a lot more.

The B1 didnt have enough bow lift,it would blow out before the bow would dance,I can get a rev 4 25p for a great price,and wouldnt mind a little on the low rpm side as engine mod will be in the the future,Thanx guys
