airdock, inexpensive, portable, and has no tidal issues(can float in almost no water), and you can assemble and dissemble yourself.
Not as cool as some of the others.

I'm in Michigan and have a Timmerman hoist. It is a hydraulic piston lift that runs on veggie oil, it sits on four legs at the bottom of your well so it requires no pilings to drive. It's very simple, fast, and even has a remote control. I know a guy in Detroit with a 1 year old one for sale it was built for a 42x cigarette if your interested email me for his info.
