Any one ever raised the x on a 24 otlaw or a similar boat, how did it respond and how did you do it???

Its a lot of work! trust me your much better off with the Imco shotened lower case.Its 2" shorter unless you need more than that.

Tried the 2" shortie on my 25 Outlaw and lost 5mph. Look in the Baja discussion about "shorter X"

Same here. I tried a lower gear case that was 2" shorter and the boat lost 2 or 3 mph but it did handle great. 27' baja
