I planned on getting there for a bit. It's close to home and I like getting photos of the race boats.
Just may even get a chance to see the 2 World's fastest Fountains as well !

Maybe even finally get to meet you after all these years.....

Tim,
No kidding around here, if there are no boats and you have the chance to meet Pat, I would jump on it! She is a sweetheart and well worth the trip up there. Just dont tell her husband that I called her a sweetheart or he might think something is funny lol

Tim,
If you’re looking for the photo of the year, you really should go to the NYC race. That picture taken of boats racing on the Hudson two days before 9/11 is priceless.
NYC is a great backdrop for the races. I would also love to see some shots of New Yorkers watching the races from Battery Park. The ferries run while the Hudson is closed to everybody else for the races...so getting from one side to the other isn't a big deal.
While you are in the Big Apple…treat yourself to a meal at Mike Gordon’s son-in-law Vinny’s restaurant in Manhattan…the food is fabulous. If you tell Vinny you are with the races…he might save you one of the nightly desert specials.
If you stay past 9:00 PM when the ferries stop running…you can catch a train back to NJ for $1.50

Are you trying to ruin my reputation..?
I appreciate the compliment..........but I can hear some laughter from KW to NY with the sweetheart remark. I've been trying to keep our relationship QUIET...
