The tiki bar if you can get a spot, otherwise the beach in front of Martels where the announcers usually are.....that's what I've always done....

2 races are scheduled. If the conditions are bad they will run all boats in 1 race. Race is scheduled to start @ 1pm, and the fleet to leave Manasquan Inlet around 12:45.

I remember the old long triangular courses running down to Seaside then the diagonal leg out putting you 4-5 miles out from the inlet. Use to get 4-6 and sometimes 8-10 footers on the outside leg.

Watching the race is best from the Tiki Bar at Martell's. Last time the Lightning Jacks guys even gave out a ton of t shirts up there.

If you want some great pics, be by the inlet when they roar out. That's definately worth doing. You'll work up a sweat running up the boardwalk to make the start at Martell's or Jenk's tho.....

Martells. Thats where I found the AMF crew in 06. Was drinking heavily there last year after the race was fogged out!!! It is something to see all the boats parade out the inlet but you'll miss a good vantage point for the race.

On the course as a volunteer safety or medic boat!
