Hi, I've got a brand new boat now with 50 hours on Cummins QSD 4.2 sterndrive diesels with Bravo III outdrives. I have had a problem with the outdrives sucking up gear lube like there's no tomorrow. Even after this much time, every time I run 100 miles or so, I've got to put in 4 ounces of gear lube in each reservoir. With fewer hours on the engines, it was sucking it even faster. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

The level should have stabilized after a few runs. It will go up and down as it heats and cools. If you continually have to add to it it is going somewhere either in the water or into the bellows. Have a dealer check it out to get it fixed under warranty.
