I flew into Newark Airport at 11pm on the night before. Flight came down the Hudson and out the left side of the plane I saw the twin towers on a beautiful clear night. Little did I know what was about to happen less than 12 hours later.

The next morning I was driving to Philly for a meeting and heard everything on the radio.

At work and one of my mechanics told me a plane just hit a building in NYC. I went home and watched the rest unfold. Unreal.

At work, but not working. We all gathered around our only tv for hours. We left by noon, no one could get anything done on that day.

I was standing in a booth at a trade show in DC....all flights grounded so I had to drive home to S Florida with a bunch of other booth people. One of the booths next to us was handing out box cutters as give aways. How naive we all were then. Godspeed to all who perrished

morning traffic on the GW heading into the city.
Got to my office, people were watching TV and weeping.
By 11 we sent everyone home, I stayed until early evening when they started opening the bridges and tunnels...

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My best friend saw it from the air! He was on the early JetBlue flight coming into JFK from Ft.Lauderdale, landing as it happened................................

At the CBOT standing in the Dow futures trading pit. We heard a "small plane" had hit the tower. The news was on the Jumbo tron on the trading floor and when the second plane hit everyone knew we were under attack. I looked at my clerks and said, "lets get out of our positions and go home. I don't think this is the safest place to be."
