Default formula silent thunder

I was wondering if any body has had issues with water baffle under swim platform for silent thunder.Myself and a friend of mine has had issues with stainless L brackets cracking at the bend where it bolts to the transom ? Was thinking about rubber orings to dampen vibration

Have you considered removing it altogether? Had a friend do that on his 303 SR-1 and put on angled tips. Looks, sounds, and performs much better. That box weighs more than you would think it does. Easy project to complete.

I took mine off of my 92 303 as well. It sounds a lot better, but a little loud going thru no-wake zones

I broke a ton of them on my 2000 382 with 600's. Formula would send me half a dozen at a time. They were a PITA to replace until I installed the transom bolts from the inside. I wound up making some heavier (1/8" by 1-1/2") ones, but then I broke the 3/8" bolts! Wound up taking it off and going to mufflers.

All the new Formulas use Corsa tips with internal mufflers

I took my silent thunder box off and just put the rubber flappers on. It sounds much better now and alot less weight to carry arround.
