i need some help..i'm currenly running a 01 260 wth a 7.4l mercrusier with a 24 hydromotive prop.the boat run's great, doesn't chine walk or anything like that, but i'm wanting to increase my hp as well as the speed of the boat, i'm currently running around 62-64mph @ 4800 rpms, but still wanting abit more maybe around the mid 70's.i thinking about either pro-charging the motor, or adding an exhaust system so i can pull a bigger prop, what would be the best aftermarket exhaust for the particular engine... i am leaning towards the imco powerflow..

What gear ratio are you running? Do you know what your propeller slip % is now?

I had a 2000 260 with 454 mag mpi. I added eddie marine exhaust, installed the arazona speed and marine efi upgrade kit, labbed the prop, which I think was a 24 or 26 hydro, and was running mid 70's with no problem. I guess it all depends on which 7.4 l you have. I know that i kept the same prop, as the upgrades allowed me to run up to 5400 RPM's.

i think the gear ratio is 1:50 not 2 sure of the % of prop slip..how would i find that out.

the motor is a 2001 7.4l MPi if that helps.. where can i purchase or find out pricing on the arizona speed and marine efi upgrade kit.

really trying to keep the expense down due to the expensive shipping to bermuda and the 25% customs duty which almost doubles the price which really sucks.....

has anyone had any experiences with the imco powerflow exhaust system with the 7.4l MPI, was wondering which one would be the better choice, the eddie marine or the imco, or they are both around the same performance wise...
