I have an 05 31SS and live in FL. I just switched from Ace to Progressive and went from $4500 to $1450/yr.

Try Liberty Mutual, they gave me a pretty good rate compared to the others... I have the house and the cars thru them too.

Alert -- Beware of Fraudulent Insurance Solicitations

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ALERT - February 27, 2006: The NMMA urges boaters to be aware of fraudulent insurance solicitations by a company called North American Marine & General Insurance Co. under the guise of the Water Safety Foundation. More information regarding this can be found below.

Beware of Fraudulent Insurance Solicitations
NMMA recently received word from its insurance broker, Acordia, that an organization called North American Marine & General Insurance Company may be soliciting business under false pretenses.

The company is soliciting business in various states across the U.S., offering marine insurance under the guise of the Water Safety Foundation or the International Water Safety Foundation. Most solicitations appear to be in the form of a fax from the IWSF directly to the client.

Please beware this is a fraudulent carrier and is not approved for use in any state in the U.S. Several insurance departments have already issued cease and desist orders against this company.

NMMA members should be aware of this information and act carefully before purchasing insurance from an organization with which it is unfamiliar.

Should anyone receive a fax from IWSF or the company North American Marine & General Insurance, please contact your State Department of Insurance.

There has been talk about this for a while. If its true, why dont the banks and finance companies have an issue with them? If they are a scam, how come they pay their claims?

I will not say the terms of the policy are the best out there but if you know what you are getting and not getting it may work for some people.

Show me the proof for what is being said?????????
