WTH. Hit while being towed, by a crusier. Was it on auto pilot? How can people be so careless. God speed.

Finish reading the thread. He launched his STV off a wake and it came apart. Sad news.

My bad. As I said last week my friend on Lake Murray was killed last week in a STV. Hit a wave and it also disintegrated. These boats are made for flat water but I understand the thrill of running them. I know it's part of life, losing people you care about but it doesn't make it any easier. R.i.p.

Reposted link to make it click-able..

I knew there had to be more to the story. People are idiots but hard to believe that someone on the boat being towed, boat towing or the boat that reportedly hit him- would not see an accident coming and do some thing at the speeds a towed/towing boat would be running.

Not that is makes the situation any better that his STV disintegrated but still..

RIP Phil and at least he went doing what he loved to do!

No one should post any here say unless they know exactly
what actually happened. No alcohol was involved, he hit a giant
cruiser wake at speed and his boat disinigrated into a millon
pieces.
