Default What type of engine oil are you running?

What type of oil is recommended in 500 or 525 EFI's

In my shop, I buy Shell Rotella 20W50 Engine oil. I run it in everything the company owns, pickups, dump trucks, excavators, all heavy equipment, and even small engines.

Would the Shell Rotella 20w50 be recommended in the 500 or 525 efi's?

If so, looks like I need to invest in a pump to change my own oil.

I used Mobil 1 synthetic (15w 50) in the 500EFIs in the last two boats without any problems and I am using Royal Purple (20w 50) in the Carolinas I have now. If you plan to keep this boat for a while, you might want to install a pre lube / oil change system from Keith Eickert. To change the oil you simpley attach a hose and flip a switch. It is that easy.

I'm using 50w

EDIT* Just realized you were asking about the stock 500s or 525s, I would still be running 25-50w.
