Question 2001 288 w/454 mag

How fast and what is one worth. I keep seeing these for sale here and there and it seems to me that a 454 would be way undersized. Unfortunatly my budget will not allow me to buy one with "big power".

If it's the 454 Mag then it should be a 60-63 MPH boat.
I think it's a good price if condition is a 7-8.

Those 454 Mags are bullet proof and built with all the right stuff to add a few HP's with excellent reliability down the road when you can afford a couple grand.

Not a bad price if it is in good shape. Pictures are usually deceiving, and these don't particularly show it in great shape. Makes me wonder what it looks like in person.

Looks rode hard in my opinion... At 40k it would be a much better deal You should be able to find one with a 502 or 496 in pretine shape for 50k.

Thanks everyone for the input. It is true that the pictures do not always tell the whole story. I am not in a good positon to make a purchase now but I am trying to gather information so when I am ready I know what I want and what I can afford. And I do not plan on buying a used boat without a complete survey and sea trial.

thanks,

Rob

Bill, I would love to buy your boat!! It's the whole $$$ thing that always gets in the way.

That thing looks beat. Plus it's a salt water boat. I would pass or look at another boat. The market is so so now. Find a clean 1 and make an offer.

this 1 looks much cleaner
