have the new merlin x aluminum bbc block and would like to marinize or coat the water jackets to keep from corroding . For fresh water use only, but need to know who can do this for me.

Have it anodised. That's what many if the intake manifolds have done to them.

annodizing is a dipping method of coating material, so yes. and if its fresh water i wouldnt sweat it too much.

Yes, but you can do a clear anodizing. But like MONSTAA said, if it's a fresh water boat, don't bother.

anodizing also hardens so many thousandth's.

There are issues with running (sea) water through/around cast aluminum IF your water has a negative ion charge, as in if its used to cool a nuclear power plant, or something along those lines.

I've been there, not with boats, but with hi-po PWC parts.

Just an FYI.

The negative ion charge will break apart the cast aluminum at the atom/electron level.
