496 exhaust how much HP
Hello All,
Does anyone know the max Hp you can get out of a set of stock mercruiser manifolds without any problems. I have a set of iron 496 manifolds and they are starting to rust interally I flush them after every use but seeing the rust colored water coming out of them I don't think they are going to last much longer the sad thing is they only have about 60 hours on them. Jeff

Not sure, but there are alot of upgrades out there for good reason.

alecsammy, please email me at [email protected], i tried to PM you but it looks like you cant get Pm's, anyways i have a like new set of 496 manifolds and risers as well as some other options you might be interested in, might be able to save you some $$$$$
