Has anyone ever seen a cast aluminum BBC oil pan for a gen V or VI? I can find SBC and fabricated BBC pans all over the place but nothing casted for a gen V or higher. Any thoughts?

Keith Eickert carry's the Cast oil pan's but there not cheap.

They are VERY nice though.

This kind of stuff really pisses me off! Just because it is associated with marine application the price jumps 5 times. Here is a link to a cast aluminum pan for a small block, no bells and whistles but look at the price. I am pretty sure KE are top notch but not everything has to be overkill and have an associated overkill price to go with it. I just want a simple 6-8 quart pan casted from aluminum instead of stamped steel.

Stick w/ steel and use good paint! spend your money on fuel. If you change pans to higer capacity you might have to modify your engine mounts (if there TRS steel plate mounts)

I think I will do that! I can't justify spending that kind of money on a couple oil pans!

A good Oil pan will help you make more power, it's not just to hold your oil. It's how it's pulled away from the Crank Shaft, getting the oil to settle down again and lose airiation, Good windage trays so your oil is kept around the oil pick-up rather than blown up the side walls from the piston force etc.
Good cooling etc.

There is a lot going on in a properly developed pan.
