I've seen that boat sitting on a lift many times entering Key West.

Rigged by World Champion Richie Powers for Don Soffer of Turnberry Isle as a tender to the Yacht Monkey Business and Miss Turnberry. One of the last boats sold from the showroom at ARONOW on Thunderboat Row.

I have hundreds of hours in this boat and it was one of the best and most reliable boats you could own. I ran it over 200 hours before the first little thing went wrong, changed out a turbo and never had another problem.

Merlin engines based on Mann blocks, don't know where the English engine builder is now. 400hp with zf trans and arneson asd 8 drives if I remember correctly.

It has been all over the Bahamas so may times in all kinds of weather that it probably knows it's own way there and back. I personally took it all the way to Little San Salvadore, Eluthera and a host of other spots.

Boat with the right props ran 68 all day long no matter if you had 3 people or 12.

Good times, great memories, and still better stories...........

AC

That's because it's not a cat. They're excellent rough water boats. If you have no expectation of cat speeds and are happy with the fact that you'll get v-bottom speeds with a bit of extra cushion, you'd be quite happy with the boat. If you expect Skater speeds, you'd be disappointed.

The only question would be- would you have to pay cat insurance rates?

Nice boat if you have a hydrohoist. Towing a 12' beam boat is a hassle.
