Default TAHOE towers, 2007/2008, 4.10 gears.. etc....

Is anyone towing with an 07 or 08 tahoe, if so what are you towing and do any of you have the 4.10 for gears? How is the gas around town or highway with the 4.10's?

It is not enough to safely tow your 32 Fountain if that is what you are looking for......

the problem like i was saying in another thread is this:

ive got a 04' 2500HD ext cab 4x4 that i bought new 3 yrs ago, i love the truck but i never use it.. I just recently moved to the dry stacks of a marina, so i never need to trailer the boat anymore other than 4-5 times a yr to a poker run or for maintance....

the old lady has an acura she wants to trade in. so i was hoping i could sell my truck and trade her car in for a vehicle she could use as a daily driver, but it could also tow the boat..

my daily driver is a company provided ford explorer, so my truck sits all day every day and it seems to be a waste of $$

The question comes down to safety. Will it do it? Yes. Would I put my family in there while it is doing it? Only the ones I don't like. It would probably work but if an emergency came up, it is not enough truck to control it and insurance would probably deny any claim when they found out you were towing 10K lbs with a truck rated for 7500 or whatever it is rated for.

I understand your situation, I would love to get a tow rig that my wife would drive but it isn't going to happen so I have to hold out until I can get a 3500 to be safe.
