Clearly it looks like the Tundra is not up to par with the Ford. BUT that video doesn't have any comparison of the Chevy. Look at the end of the video with the three trucks running. The Ford is going slower than the chevy and you still can't tell if the Ford is doing better than the chevy.

Tell you what my whole take on the trucks is. Ford, Chevy, and dodge have been building these trucks A LONG TIME. A truck Is not something you just throw up in a couple of years planning and expect to beat the competition.

Read all of the complaints on handling. The deal is they knock off from Chev and Ford and bring it out. Just what Chev and Ford need, a lesson on quality. Can't wait till their trans start coming appart once they get some use

My read on the video is that the softer your suspension the better it will track, a lesser amount of box movement and probably a lesser payload. In other words the suspension absorbs the shock loads with movement and doesn't transfer to axle and frame.

The new Ford is rated good for towing as fars as I know, i am a fod guy but I also have a SuperDuty, not a 1/2 ton.

I looked at 3/4 ton Chevys for my dad last year, suspension did not compare to the Ford.

All I noticed for sure is the Tundra was an EXTRA CAB and the Ford and Chevy were crews.

As a 3 time F-150 owner I can tell you straight up that my Tundra is twice the truck they were with better mileage AND more power.

I have the CrewMax version.

The Silverado has the Z71 offroad package, while the ford did not have its comparable FX4 package. So much for apples to apples testing. Stiffer suspension= more bounce

My last 7 cars/trucks were Ford products. My latest a 2007 Toyota Tundra Double Cab, is my first Toyota, and I love it.

The truck does a great job towing, and stopping.
An electric brake controller is a must, for anything other than local towing.

I have a bunch of options; 5.7-liter DOHC EFI V8, 32-valve engine with Dual
VVT-i, 381 hp - @5600 rpm, 401 lb.-ft. - @3600 rpm, 6-speed automatic
overdrive, heavy duty tow option, transmission cooler, transmission temp gauge,
4.30 Rear Diff w/10.5" Ring Gear,limited slip diff, 150A Alternator,and a
10,600lbs tow capacity rating.

I am 6ft tall, and really like the truck

My Tundra pulls the Magnum very well.......381hp gets it done....
