what is the best but cheapeast material to build a console with.

we are building a console in between driver and throttleman's sit down seats which will come from the front all the way to the rear of the cockpit to put throttles gps speedo vhf radio, etc. what would be the best material, lightest material and most inexpensive material to build it with. please help...thanks.

coosas great stuff and easy to work with. not the cheapest by far but it makes up for it in workability and durability. you will have to through bolt anything you mount because it dosent take a screw very well but most things should be through bolted anyway.

coosacomposites.com bad part is the minimums for an order. I am not by any direct suppliers and have to have it shipped from them. i believe the last sheet i got was around $400 for a 4 x 8 sheet of inch and a half delivered. 3/4" i believe was under $200 but than you have truck freight to add.

let me rephrase the question... what is the cheapest material that will not rot and hold the stress of throttling under stress conditions...remember the throttles are going to be on this console. thanks a million guys..excuse my ignorance..
