Thanks Slick,

The truck really is a diamond and the short beds are definitely hard to come by.I am sure I will be kicking myself when I do sell it.If I don't sell it, I will still have the best truck I have ever owned. We'll see what happens.

Somewhere between a half empty coffee cup and the Space Shuttle; depending on what you believe around here.

I've got an 06 shortbed dually and when I went looking for one when I bought this one, there were 6 in the state of Fl. One was a dealer demo that they were asking full new truck retail for, another one had a bunch of dealer added crap(diamond plate bed rails, a cattle catcher, etc.) one had dealer damage that had been repaired(wouldn't disclose exactly what dealer damage was) and two white ones(which ain't happening) and then the one I finally bought, which wasn't equipped exactly the way I wanted it, but was the closest of the bunch, I wanted black or charcoal interior(mine is tan/parchament) and this one had the Tow Boss pkg.(oversized hitch with a slide in insert to shim it down and 4.30 gears) I wanted 4.10 gears, but oh well. With the 265/70r19.5 Michelins(34.5 tall) it effectively cut my gearing down to 3.91.
I love the manueverability of the swb when I'm on tight ramps, and its a damn site easier to park than a longbed, as mine is my everyday driver.
Good luck selling...

That's a good one Sydwayz.I got a little chuckle. To answer Bob's question I am not really sure what the max tow rating is.The hitch is a class V which is rated from 12,500lbs to 15,000lbs depending on the drawbar used(with adaptor sleeve or without).I will have to research it a little bit as I am curious now.My boat is only about 6,000lbs so I never really gave much thought to it.I towed my buddys 38 Fountain a few weeks back and I felt it towed great with plenty of power.I would think that his boat is somewhere around 8-9,000lbs plus the trailer. The truck is bone stock with absolutely no mods and I BABY it.I think that is the key to any of these new trucks. If you start modifying any the diesels out there today that when the problems seem to begin. This truck has been trouble free and I will be sick to my stomach when I sell it.It is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned and I have had plenty.I am selling the boat also thats why I don't really need a truck this big at this time.Sometimes you have to take a step back to make some leaps and bounds forward.Anyway,I am sure it will find a good home soon.

Nice looking truck Slick. If yours has been as good as mine I am sure you are very happy. My truck has 3.73's in it with the same style hitch as yours I believe.Your truck must be a bear down low with those gears. That one might be able to pull the space station and the shuttle together LOL.Thanks for the input.
