I have a Northstar 6100i. The speed function only goes to 99.9 MPH. Does anybody know how to make this display a higher number? I need three digits plus the decimal.

I'd call northstar, they may have a hidden setting they can unlock for you to change it. I don't think this will be part of the user menu considering their major market is big sport fishing boats running a max of 30 knots.

I wonder why Livorsi is on board with Northstar if they can't display anything over 100. Seems ridiculous to market a product to performance boats and not be able to display the correct information.

I have a northstar and really like it. Haven't been able to break the 99mph so it hasn't been an issue. However that really is a limiting factor on boats over 99mph. I look at my northstar all the time for speed.

I think they will have to do something soon considering the 'slow' performance boats today are running 80. I think the fountain poker run boat runs 95 with stock power? Seems like a major oversight.

I have a Northstar 550i and have the set the speed unit to be kilometres/hour and it handles 3 digits without any problems.

I made a mistake I have the 6000i. Mine only goes 99.9.............I know too. Mine is a late 2004 model. Northstar said the older versions have the extra digit. So you must have the better older version. In the newer models a digit was removed for something else.
