i am on the market to buy a cat. i am looking on a 2002 spectre 30 with 2x 2.5. would like to get comment of spectre user. is there any issue with that hull??? moisture, delamination??? what should it run with 2x 2.5 merc??? any thing i should ask that i have to know before buying??? thank's in advance!!!

do a search here in OSO...the 30 Spectre is a great boat. i had a 1998 with 2003 300x's and she ran 107 on a conservative set-up...I WOULD DEFINATELY BUY ANOTHER ONE !! AND PROBABLY WILL

I purchased a new spectre 30 back in 98. I rigged the whole thing myself with twin merc 2.5s. I was able to take it a couple of times to lake X for tweaking. The best set up yielded 107. That was with 15x32 merc cleavers that had been thinned at a custom shop. I learned alot about set-up (engine height and a bunch of little things that add up to big gains).
I ended up adding a third engine which took it to 117 gps.
