prop rake

Default prop rake

do props have a standard rake i tried my first rolla the other day but the bow seems to be running very low

You may need more rake or cup. They all have different designs for various results. What kind of boat and power......

its a 26ft fletcher with a 440hp yanmar diesel and 2 speed gearbox prop shaft angle is about 2.2 ton all in but take a look at my thread PROP PROBLEM and let me know what you think

it could be a low rake cleaver . you can get one in a high rake that will lift the bow . a low rake lifs the stearn robbie

what is generally the best stern or bow lift my boat has very little weight up front i completely gutted it out last year

Are you running the prop completely submerged?

no its running half out of the water the centre of the hub is level with the bottom of the hull

Okay.... so you have a bow lift problem. It could be either lack of rake, not enough blade area/diameter,prop type (cleaver, round ear, etc) or a cup issue...or a bit of all.

My advice is contact Rolla and see what he suggests......... or if you borrowed the prop....... borrow a few more for comparison.
