Merc Blue paint info:
P.G. 17993, dupont b8110 - merc racing blue paint code, Dupont B8110A
(P.G. 17993 is so old that they don`t have a formula on record)

The dupont b8110a (old stock#) = DPC# 15663 (Color Perm Code AJ935) This color is found on Chevrolet 1981 (paint code 20) and Pontiac 1981 (paint code 7204) the name of the color is BRT BLUE. They could not get me the formula for the dupont but the same color is used on a Hyundai (color code HD) and they gave me the formula for this (Spies Hecker quality Serie 293)
Told them the dupont code B8110A & they mixed it right up in Imron. This is what its says on the can: General Motors code 20 1981 Bright Blue-Effect
this is to mix 48 oz imron (2 qts)
531U LS BLACK 40.6
521U ALUM 100.3
565U RED 357.9
559U BLUE 731.2
572U CLEAR 1053.8
570U LO VOC BINDER 1381.9
8585S REDUCER 1409.0

I actually bought a can of the merc blue touch up paint from a supply house and took it to the paint store and had it computer matched for PPG base coat clear and single stage.

You can barely tell the difference if you hold them next to each other.

I can get you the paint or the codes if you want.

I know this is an old thread, and I have found a few "paint codes", but those pictures from "jeff1000man" look to be the correct color, if you see this and you still have the paint code for this color, I would love to have it.
