You can also take some expanding foam. Pour it into a box and just shape the stuff tell you get what you want. Then you can just glass over the top of that. Works killer. Wish I had a picture of some of the speaker pods that I made.

Here is what I came up with, I used the green floral foam very easy to shape.

There ya go!!! Make some tests with resin. That grean foam will react poorly to a LOT of resins. Just take a piece that you cut out and run a test with the resin that you choose.

Oh ya and once you make the fiberglass outside you can just pour accetone in there and the stuff will all ment out and you can have it all hallow

make sure you leave yourself enough room to access the back of the gauges to attach wires and get to the mounting hardware. also if that foam reacts to the resin you might try using an epoxy instead of poly or put on a barrier. PVA or even something as simple as just covering it with a layer of masking tape. good luck, look'in good so far
