Default 43 zr w/ 700's

Anyone have a 43 zr w/700's? How does it ride in rough water? What is the top speed?

I am comparing it to a 42 fountain w/700's any thoughts?

Thanks
TJ

Very nice ride and handling. Top speed is is around 92-95 depending on conditions and setup. Call Ocean Perofrmance by they use one as their poker run boat and also have another in stock.

I've got one...92 - 95 is about right. The boat is absolutely on rails. I've only been on it in 2-3' er's. It feels almost boring @ 75mph cruise.

Not too sure where you are from, but it may be worth a look at the Sunsation F4 43' with 700's. The F4 has a ton of custom detailing to it along with speeds up to the 100mph+ mark. The cabin is spacious with plenty of headroom. There will be a few at the Miami boat show with one in the water for sea trials at the Mercury booth. I can also help you with any info on them.

I prefer the Donzi 43 over the Fountain, but, I really like and have been on a 43 sunsation, awesome boat, my second choice. My pic is the 43 Nortech, I have one with 700's, NXT transom assemblies but with the #6 drives. Boat does run on rails, awesome cruise, 94.6, gets up on plane extremely easy, and handles rough water perfectly, found that out coming back from K.W. Has 6'7" of headroom, full ammenties, and has a straight walk in head, no step in height. Bottom line all good boats some better than others. Take a ride in them all, and find out what meets your criteria of boating. We over night a few times, as well as entertain, so being able to go in and out with out much ducking is important...Good Luck. Jeff

A more apples to apples would be a Donzi 38 ZR to 42 Fountain

You are correct. This is not a Fountain bash by any means but the truth. The 42 Fountain is overall length, the 38Zr does not include the swim platform in its loa. Running surface, cabin and cockpit space is going to be closer. The 43Zr is a much bigger boat then the the 42 Fountain as stated earlier.
