If we are ever going to have an offshore race in Antartica, we are going to have to work harder on this global warming thing:

Yes but, you didn't mention this (also from the same links) http://www.portal.telegraph.co.uk/ne...14/wglob14.xml

or this
http://www.portal.telegraph.co.uk/ne...4/wglob114.xml

or this

Certainly still seems to be an unsettled debate-doesn't it?? So how much money should we spend before we have any real answers??

I'm sorry cat, it doesn't say conclusivly.

"But Dr David Vaughan, of the British Antarctic Survey, said temperature records going back 50 years showed that the continent had been getting warmer over the longer term. "There are regional differences in climate change," he added."

To me that sounds more like his opinion.

I watch long term weather with great intrest. My livelyhood depends on it. On guy that I've found to be very acuate (sp) Talks about weather cycles going back 3-4 thousand years. We've had warmer that this and we will have colder than this. At least this is my opinion, I'm not convinced global warming is man made. Possibly man measured because of not taking the readings in the same conditions that they were taked 50 years ago
Example: out in a grean field compare to a reading taken at an a paved airport today.

Cat the fun thing is watching people tell us that there is nothing wrong..It seems that you (catmando)get to choose which side they will choose to defend...You pick your argument and "they" always have to be on the other side.....Last I checked there was a big hole in the ozone....Maybe that was false data to????

We all know that someday the end of the world is coming just like every other civilization that has came and went.....The million dollar question is when, where, and how it will come to pass.....And as far as beans go don't get me started on that subject....
