Measure the pulleys and figure it out. The pulley sizes may vary from engine to engine so many will be different. All stock 496s should be the same. Still the best answer will be if you figure it out on your engine.

I want to over drive my seapump I have 5inch heat exchanger and cmi header 3.3whipples with inner coolers I think it will run coolerThe sea pump pulley is stock 5 1/4 .Ithink I can get a 4inch witch is about 22/23% faster about 1300 rpm faster I really need a 2stage pump na for 496 I know someone that did it on a race boat an it made a big difference. we dinoed 810 hp 5600 rpm 7.25 lb,s boost

What temp is it running at now? The Whipple kit should have droped your operating temp to just above 100. Water flow to th intercooler is most important during high boost levels. Normaly the engine is in md to upper rpms then. do you still think the sea water pump needs to turn faster?
Ever thought about installing a transom mounted water pickup?? The drive can only flow so much water. No sence turning a pump faster if the supply isn't there.

My water temp go up when I slow down ,I get a lot of steam then I just bring the r,s to about 1500 /1800 to cool it down I didnt notice till I added the cmi,s Dustin whipple told me the headers cause havic to the system I feel pump on 496,s just cant keep up .I know my imco bottoms pick up plenty of water when im running water temps are 140

Bobby, get some transom mount pickups. I did that on my motors. I would rather have too much water in the motor & too much water in the coolers than not enough water in either. The way mine is setup gives me more than enough to both.

I also recomend transom mounted pickup. In fact Whipple now sugest going this route for their kits. They want the engine being feed by the transom mount, and the drive feeding the intercooler only! No pump for the inter cooler. Thats how mine is plumbed and it was perfect last summer!
It also keeps sand and other debree from enterin ghte intercooler, mainly because when you are milling around dirty water , there is no flow to the intercooler.
Make sence?
