That's right, I'm shopping for a NEW pontoon boat!

We have a rather large no wake zone that my house sits at the mouth of, and the places we typically hang out are a pretty good car ride away at night. The Skater isn't exactly a nightboat OR party machine.

I don't need a whole bunch of options, just plenty of room and of course a BIG Merc on back. I"ve seen some with flames etc on them but don't know anything about this market.

What are the good ones? I don't want a fiberglass hulled deckboat. I'm talkin true aluminum toon.

I did the same thing for our LOTO rental years ago. We always had so many people there and kids that it was very convenient to have a use and abuse(meaning wipe the seats down, put on the cockpit cover, and go) type rig in addition to our v-bottom that we trailered back and forth. I bought the Playcraft Powertoon Extreme 2600. It had a 200hp Merc Optimax and would get 3-4 miles to the gallon and run in the upper 40's. We had as many as 16 or 17 people on it full of coolers, could pull a skier, and was simple to maintain. Good luck.

Playcraft, JC, Bennington, and Southbay are the best. We have a bennington tri toon and love it. Does 40 with a 150. Neighbor has 27 JC with a 225 that hauls the mail. Guy I bought my fountain from has a playcraft with a 275verado that does 56 gps. They are all very similar. I like the southbay trifecta in black with the wakeboard type tower....looks awesome for a toon.
