Default Raylar engine kits ?

Can we get some feedback from some 496ho owners who
put the Raylar 103 engine kit on. Would like to know some feed back good or bad.I here alot about it but only has spoken to one person who has it. And another question would this bring down the value of the boat with Raylar on your
496's ?

I've done several Raylar kits and they work great. I've dyno'd them and they make the power claimed. One customer has a couple of hundred hours on his package and it gets run very hard. No trouble at all.

What it will do to the boat value? That's a tough question. It won't raise it to equal a 525 Merc engine. It will probably increase the value some, but it could also narrow the resale market. As with anything in boating, you don't do it for an investment.

went from 68.5 to 74.9 on the Gps....however we are still trying to find the right prop. We are banging the rev. limiter preety bad right now so there is a lot of hope left that we can still squeeze 2-4 mph out of her

Are you running stock exhaust with the turbulators removed?

What year 27 Fever with what drive ratio?

I'm very curious because I wanted to see some results and prop set-ups for my same boat

Thanks Westcoast

I may get back to you later to see what the final results are. Sounds like a 10mph pickup is possible with this hull and motor upgrade.
