Repowering w new 2.5 mercs

I am going to be repowering a Skater with new 2.5 mercs.It had 2.4's. I have been told that the only differance between the Race Model and the OS is the ECU. Should I go for the race?
How much should I expect to pay / motor rigged ? And who in NY will do the best job at a Fair Price (not necessarily the lowest $$$)..

I think that there is a difference with the top bearing also.

Our experience with Ocean Outboard was not good. Maybe we were an exception. Pricing fair, rigging amateurish.

All Waves (Nicky Cutro) is worth checking with. He certainly will have the best prices and knows how to rig World Chanpionship boats (his).
